Former Boath MLA Rathod Bapurao has joined Telangana Jagruthi at its office in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. Jagruthi president K. Kavitha formally welcomed him by draping the party scarf. Speaking on the occasion, Bapurao said he had resigned from his job to work for the Telangana movement with the belief that statehood would bring better opportunities. He recalled his association with Kavitha, stating that her encouragement motivated him to enter politics, where he went on to win as an MLA twice. However, he expressed disappointment over not receiving a ticket for a third term and lack of recognition after joining the Congress.
Bapurao announced that he would work under Kavitha’s leadership in the new political platform and organize a large public meeting in Ichoda to mobilize supporters. He also voiced his support for Kavitha as a potential future Chief Minister. Addressing the gathering, Kavitha said several leaders from different districts are ready to join the new party. She highlighted Bapurao’s contribution to the Telangana movement and called upon activists to unite once again for the state’s development, urging them to move away from traditional parties and support the new political initiative.
