Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will not attend the Diwali high tea hosted by senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Despite receiving an invitation to the gathering, Siddaramaiah has reportedly declined it, citing a prior engagement. Meanwhile, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President BK Hariprasad are expected to attend the event.
Separately, DK Shivakumar is likely to brief Rahul Gandhi on the controversy surrounding the alleged sting operation in Karnataka. The issue is expected to be discussed during a separate interaction between the two leaders. Siddaramaiah’s absence and Shivakumar’s proposed briefing have drawn attention amid the ongoing political developments within the Karnataka Congress.
