The second ODI between India and New Zealand is scheduled to be played on Saturday, but rain could once again disrupt the match. According to the weather department, Wellington is currently experiencing continuous rainfall, raising concerns about the playing conditions on match day. Due to the weather, India cancelled its practice session, while New Zealand, trailing in the series, trained at an indoor stadium. The first ODI was also affected by rain, with the target revised twice under the Duckworth-Lewis method. India eventually won the match to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.
Devon Conway Ruled Out
New Zealand batter Devon Conway sustained an injury during a training session ahead of the first ODI and missed the match. He has now been ruled out of the remainder of the series. Nick Kelly has been named as his replacement under the concussion substitute provision. Meanwhile, New Zealand Cricket confirmed that Matt Henry, who was injured while fielding alongside Conway, has regained fitness and is available for selection.
