

Ace filmmaker S. S. Rajamouli is once again gearing up to impress global audiences with his upcoming film Varanasi, starring Mahesh Babu. The film’s exclusive glimpses were showcased at the ‘Comic-Con Experience 2026’ event held in Mexico. On this occasion, Rajamouli shared a special video message with international fans, sporting a T-shirt with “Varanasi” printed on it, symbolizing the film’s global vision and appeal.
In his message, Rajamouli expressed his fascination for the Mayan civilization and revealed that he drew inspiration from Chichen Itza while designing the city center in his blockbuster film Baahubali. Reflecting on his 25-year journey in cinema, he said global recognition for films like RRR brought him immense joy. He added that the worldwide success of the song Naatu Naatu was an emotional moment that reaffirmed his purpose as a filmmaker. Meanwhile, S. S. Karthikeya attended the event in person and shared insights, while the team ensured that the BTS video was not leaked.
