Prime Minister Narendra Modi strongly criticized opposition parties during his address, accusing them of putting politics above the nation’s interests. He said parties like Congress, DMK, TMC and Samajwadi Party blocked the Women’s Reservation Bill and even celebrated its failure. According to him, this act has hurt women’s dignity and their long-standing dreams of representation. He added that those who opposed the bill will have to face consequences from the people, especially women.
Modi also rejected claims made by the opposition regarding delimitation, stating that the government had clearly assured equal representation for all states. He explained that if the bill had passed, states like Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Kerala would have gained more seats. He blamed certain regional parties for spreading false information and stopping reforms that could benefit the country.
He further alleged that Congress has been losing its presence and is now depending on regional parties for survival. Modi said the opposition has repeatedly tried to block reforms and divide people for political gain. He emphasized that his government remains focused on national interest and empowering women, and urged citizens to recognize the truth behind such political actions.
