The Karnataka Cabinet has taken a key decision regarding the conduct of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) matches at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Moving past the restrictions imposed following last year's stampede incident during RCB celebrations, the government has granted conditional permission for the matches. As per the cabinet decision, the spectator capacity has been capped at 35,000.
It is mandatory to strictly follow the safety protocols recommended by the Justice Michael D'Cunha Committee, including improved crowd management and emergency medical facilities. This move paves the way for RCB to play their home matches at the iconic stadium in the upcoming IPL season.
