Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the Uniform Civil Code will be implemented in West Bengal if the Bharatiya Janata Party comes to power in the state. He stated that Bengalis will not be allowed to become minorities in their own state. Addressing election rallies in Jangipur of Murshidabad district and Katwa in Purba Bardhaman district, Modi described the upcoming assembly elections as a crucial battle for the future of Bengal.
He emphasized the need to end appeasement politics and accused the ruling Trinamool Congress of protecting those responsible for recent violence during Ram Navami. Modi warned that strict action would be taken against corruption and assured that refugees would be granted citizenship under the law. He also stated that illegal infiltrators would be required to leave the country, reinforcing his party’s commitment to law and governance.
