

The weather department has issued an alert for people in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, warning of rainfall in both states today. In Andhra Pradesh, due to a trough effect, varied weather conditions are expected. Districts such as Alluri, Srikakulam, Polavaram, Kurnool, Nandyal, Vizianagaram, Manyam, Visakhapatnam, Anantapur, and Nellore are likely to experience thunderstorms accompanied by lightning.
Meanwhile, districts including Manyam, Polavaram, East Godavari, Eluru, and Vizianagaram may face strong heatwave conditions with intense hot winds. Authorities have advised people to remain alert due to these mixed weather conditions. Medical experts recommend that elderly people, pregnant women, and new mothers take extra precautions.
In Telangana, unseasonal rains have already begun, especially in northern regions. Districts like Adilabad, Asifabad, Nirmal, Karimnagar, and Nizamabad have been witnessing heavy rainfall with thunderstorms since midnight. Strong winds are also blowing in Rajanna Sircilla district. The rains are gradually moving towards Hyderabad, bringing cooler weather to Medak, Sangareddy, Vikarabad, and Hyderabad.
The weather department has also warned that rainfall may occur in the next two hours in the combined Nalgonda district.
