

The Enforcement Division of the Civil Supplies Department (CAF & CS) has taken strict action against those who are illegally using household LPG cylinders for commercial purposes. On March 9, officials conducted extensive raids in Hanmakonda, Warangal and Karmanghat areas. In these raids, 22 household cylinders, 25 small cylinders and gas refilling units were seized. The value of the seized equipment was estimated at Rs. 64,468, officials said.
As part of similar operations, on February 14, a person was arrested in Ibrahimpatnam Bonguluru and 78 household LPG cylinders and a vehicle were seized. In total, 100 household cylinders and 25 small cylinders were seized in these raids. The total value of these was estimated at Rs. 2,36,068. 6-A reports have been submitted before the Collector (Civil Supplies) on these cases and FIRs have also been registered against the concerned persons. Officials have asked the public to report toll-free number 1967 if they have any information on the illegal use of LPG cylinders.
