Tollywood actor JD Chakravarthy shared an interesting incident during the promotions of his latest film. He recalled a key moment from the first day of shooting of the iconic film Shiva, which played a major role in shaping his career. He explained that a large action sequence was planned with effects like burning tyres and smoke, designed by a top fight master. However, then-debutant director Ram Gopal Varma rejected those ideas and insisted on a more natural approach.
At that time, it became a major talking point in the industry that a newcomer was opposing such established techniques. But actor Nagarjuna trusted Varma’s vision and gave him complete freedom. JD Chakravarthy stated that this belief played a crucial role in Varma’s success, and without Nagarjuna’s support, his career might have ended early. He also praised Varma for being straightforward and sticking firmly to his creative vision.
