ISRO is all set to conduct the PSLV-C62 rocket launch tomorrow morning from the first launch pad at Sriharikota in Tirupati district. The rocket is scheduled for lift-off at 10:17 AM. The countdown for the launch began today morning at 10:17, 24 hours in advance. This mission involves the lightweight PSLV-DL configuration, with two strap-on boosters. The rocket will place the 1,485 kg EOS-N1 (Anveshan) satellite into a sun-synchronous orbit at an altitude of 600 km, intended for India’s defense purposes.
Along with EOS-N1, several other satellites from various countries will also be deployed, including DSUsat, CGUsat, MOI-1, Lachit, Taibolt-3, Sanskarshot, Ayulsat, Edusat, UUsat, Galaxy Exploral, Orbital Temple, Aldebaran-1, Theos-2, Munal, and Kid. Since these satellites are relatively light, the PSLV-DL configuration with two strap-on boosters is being used. This marks the 64th PSLV launch, the fifth using the PSLV-DL configuration, and the 105th launch overall. ISRO has previously demonstrated PSLV’s capabilities with significant missions like Chandrayaan-1, Mars Orbital Mission, Aditya L1, and Astrosat, and in 2017 set a record by deploying 104 satellites in a single mission.
