

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Johannesburg on Sunday. The leaders discussed strengthening bilateral relations and reviewed ongoing strategic cooperation between India and Italy.
During the meeting, both countries adopted the India-Italy Joint Initiative to Counter Financing of Terrorism, reaffirming their commitment to work together against extremism and global terror networks. The initiative aims to boost intelligence sharing and financial tracking mechanisms.
PM Modi described the interaction as “a very good meeting” and said that the India-Italy Strategic Partnership continues to grow stronger. He also shared photos from the meeting, highlighting the warm and positive engagement between the two leaders.
