The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has intensified its efforts in the phone tapping case. After questioning BRS Deputy Floor Leader Harish Rao on Tuesday, the SIT summoned BRS Working President KTR for questioning at 11 AM on Friday. A notice to this effect was issued to KTR. As KTR is currently in Sircilla, SIT officials delivered the notice to his residence in Nandinagar. KTR has already clarified that he respects the law and will appear for the questioning. In this context, it is reported that KTR and Harish Rao met with KCR yesterday and discussed the SIT notices.
Recently, Telangana politics has been revolving around a series of investigations and inquiries. After the Kaleshwaram project inquiry, the phone tapping case has become a hot topic. Harish Rao alleged that BRS leaders are being targeted in this case. He lashed out, saying that these investigations are being conducted to harass the police and the opposition. He commented that the notice to KTR was part of diversionary politics. On the other hand, Union Minister Kishan Reddy described the phone tapping case as trash, saying that a big drama has been going on for two years. Congress leaders countered this, clarifying that the actions are being taken according to the law and there are no personal vendettas involved.
