Personality Rights Violation.. Jr NTR Moves Delhi High Court

Tollywood actor Jr NTR has approached the Delhi High Court, alleging the illegal use of his photograph and name on social media and e-commerce platforms. Acting on his petition, the court directed the concerned platforms to take appropriate action under the Information Technology Rules, 2021, and remove the unauthorised content. The court observed that such misuse of personality rights cannot be ignored in the digital space and must be addressed promptly.

Justice Anish Dayal, who heard the matter, instructed the platforms to comply within three days and submit a report to the court. The High Court has adjourned the next hearing to December 22, stating that detailed orders would be passed on that date. Jr NTR’s legal team insisted that strict action is necessary to prevent further misuse of his identity online.
