There is heavy demand for buses from Hyderabad towards Andhra Pradesh, leading to packed bus stations and railway terminals across the city. Major transit points such as Secunderabad, Kachiguda, and Nampally railway stations are witnessing huge crowds as passengers rush to travel to their hometowns, resulting in increased pressure on public transport services.
To manage the surge, Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has arranged 6,431 special buses on various routes. While these special services are operating with a 50 percent additional fare, private travel operators have reportedly increased ticket prices by nearly three times, adding to passenger concerns during the peak travel period.
