

Senior actor and former MP Maganti Murali Mohan expressed immense happiness after being conferred with the Padma Shri, announced by the Central Government on the occasion of Republic Day. Reacting through a video message, he said the honour had arrived a little late but at the right time, adding that awards received after a long wait carry greater value. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, and members of the film fraternity for their support and goodwill.

He has acted in over 350 films and produced several meaningful movies under the Jayabheri Arts banner. Beyond cinema, his contributions to education, healthcare, and public service as a Rajahmundry MP earned him widespread respect.
