A large-scale strike by municipal workers has begun across Andhra Pradesh, with nearly 48,000 employees boycotting duties on Tuesday. Worker unions have expressed concern over delayed salaries, stating that the situation has made it increasingly difficult for them to support their families. The protest reflects growing frustration among sanitation and civic staff across the state.
Due to the strike, essential civic services such as garbage collection and drainage maintenance are expected to be severely affected in major cities. The workers have made it clear that they will not resume duties until the government initiates talks and provides a concrete solution to their demands.
