

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy paid a courtesy visit to State Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Lok Bhawan. Minister Sridhar Babu and MP Vem Narender Reddy also participated in this meeting. The Governor and the Chief Minister discussed several key issues related to the education sector. In particular, the Governor focused on the urgent need to curb drug usage within educational institutions.
The Governor suggested organizing special programs to raise awareness among students and taking measures to administer pledges to them. He also discussed with the Chief Minister an awareness program scheduled to be held under his aegis at the LB Stadium on June 12. He further suggested that, during the admission process itself, schools and colleges should obtain an undertaking from students pledging to stay away from drugs. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated that he would take the Governor's suggestions into consideration and initiate appropriate measures.
