Cricketer Turns Franchise Owner… Who Is It ?

West Indies cricket legend Chris Gayle has entered franchise cricket as he takes on a new role in the European T20 Premier League (ETPL). He has been announced as a co-owner and global brand ambassador of the newly introduced Glasgow Mafians team.

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan also serves as a co-owner of the same franchise. The inaugural phase of the ETPL, which features six teams, is scheduled to be held from August 26 to September 20 this year. The tournament will see competition among teams representing Glasgow, Amsterdam, Dublin, Edinburgh, Belfast and Rotterdam.
