IndiGo Airlines cancelled 550 flights yesterday and stated that similar disruptions are expected to continue for the next three days. Considering the inconvenience caused to passengers, the airline has submitted a report to the DGCA.
According to the airline, the cancellations were necessary due to crew unavailability under Phase-2 Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL). IndiGo also mentioned that errors in implementing regulations and planning deficiencies were the main reasons for this issue. The airline operates nearly 2,300 flights daily.
