LPG Booking Rules Tightened

Leading oil companies have introduced stricter rules for LPG cylinder bookings, implementing new waiting periods based on the type of connection. Customers with double cylinder connections can now book a refill only after 35 days, while beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana are allowed to book only after 45 days. These changes aim to regulate supply and ensure fair distribution among consumers.

Meanwhile, customers with a single cylinder connection can place a booking after 25 days. Oil companies have also clarified that any booking made before the stipulated time will be automatically cancelled. The revised guidelines are expected to streamline the distribution system and prevent misuse or overbooking of LPG cylinders.
