Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow over the tragic accident that occurred near Markapuram in Andhra Pradesh, calling it extremely unfortunate. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families during this difficult time and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the incident.
The Prime Minister also announced financial assistance from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF). An ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh will be provided to the families of those who lost their lives, while ₹50,000 will be given to the injured. The announcement was made through an official post by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on social media platform X.
