

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy distributed ₹1 crore accident insurance cheques to the families of electricity department employees who lost their lives while on duty. The cheques were handed over during the Assembly session on Monday, aiming to provide financial support and instill confidence among employees and their families. The Chief Minister also appreciated Power Minister Bhatti Vikramarka for extending support to the affected families.
The government has enhanced the Rajiv Aarogyasri health coverage limit from ₹5 lakh to ₹10 lakh and introduced a family insurance scheme to ensure that families are not left helpless after the death of the breadwinner. As per the CPEC survey, all identified families will receive ₹5 lakh insurance coverage. Additionally, accident insurance benefits exceeding ₹1 crore have been extended to electricity and Singareni workers. The CM personally handed over cheques to the families of deceased workers Orsu Suresh and Mukhtar Beg, reaffirming the government’s commitment to employee welfare.
