

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has officially announced India’s international home season schedule for 2026–27. The season will begin with white-ball cricket and conclude with the prestigious five-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) against Australia. India is set to host a total of 22 international matches across 17 cities, although notable venues like Kolkata and Mumbai will not host any Test matches this time. Hyderabad has been allocated two matches in the upcoming season.
The schedule includes a series against West Indies featuring 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is, followed by Sri Lanka with 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is. Zimbabwe will tour India for 3 ODIs, while the highlight of the season will be the five-match Test series against Australia. The announcement has generated excitement among cricket fans, with a packed calendar of high-profile matches across the country.
