

Addressing the Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a key speech highlighting India’s deep trade relations with West Asia, noting that the region plays a crucial role in meeting the country’s energy requirements. He also emphasized that war always has a severe impact on ordinary people.
The Prime Minister stated that a large number of Indians are working in West Asia, and in view of the current situation in the region, the Central Government has been giving special attention to their safety. He said that all necessary measures have been taken to safely evacuate Indians from conflict-affected areas. As part of these efforts, 24/7 control rooms and helplines have been established to assist citizens.
PM Modi further informed that approximately 375,000 Indians have been safely brought back to the country so far. He reaffirmed that the government remains fully committed to ensuring the safety and protection of every Indian stranded abroad.
