Shruti shared that although they studied in different reputed schools in Chennai, they were classmates during the same period and grew up without any sense of celebrity privilege.

In a recent interview, Shruti Haasan recalled fond memories with Dulquer Salmaan. She revealed that during their school days, Dulquer used to tease her by calling her ‘Sombi,’ a nickname that originated after she performed a song with the same name at a school event. She also mentioned that many classmates did not even know her real name and recognized her only as Kamal Haasan’s daughter. The duo is now set to reunite on screen in the upcoming film ‘Aakasamlo Oka Tara,’ directed by Pavan Sadineni, generating strong anticipation among audiences.
