A significant development has emerged following the change in ownership of the Rajasthan Royals franchise. It is reported that the family of the late cricketer Shane Warne is set to receive approximately ₹450 crore.
During the early years of the Indian Premier League, Shane Warne served as the captain of Rajasthan Royals. In addition to his on-field leadership, he was also entrusted with significant responsibilities related to the team’s cricketing operations. As part of this arrangement, he was allocated a 0.75% ownership stake each year.
Warne represented the franchise for a total of four seasons, through which he accumulated a 3% ownership stake. With the recent change in ownership, the value of this stake is now estimated to be around ₹450 crore.
