The Kerala High Court on Wednesday allowed the Special Investigation Team to take an additional month to complete its investigation into the Sabarimala gold-plating case. The SIT had sought more time, citing the need to examine technical evidence, verify documents and record statements of key individuals linked to the temple’s gold-plating works. The court instructed the team to expedite the probe and submit the final report within the extended deadline. The case involves alleged irregularities in the gold-plating of sacred ornaments and temple structures at Sabarimala.
