The death toll in the horrific fire accident at Gul Shopping Plaza in Karachi, Pakistan, has risen to 67. Authorities stated that more bodies are being recovered as the removal of debris continues. The incident has deeply shaken the city.
It has been revealed that some people, in an attempt to escape the flames, hid inside the shops and subsequently died due to suffocation. Notably, 30 bodies were found together in a single shop called 'Dubai Crockery'. Authorities said that so far, only 12 of the deceased have been identified. Rescue operations are still underway.
