Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has once again criticized the Central Government over the CBSE on-screen marking controversy, alleging that the issue goes beyond mere negligence. Sharing a video interaction with students who raised concerns about the evaluation process, Rahul claimed that lakhs of students had been affected by irregularities in the assessment system. He questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s silence on the matter, stating that while the Prime Minister found time to discuss topics such as mangoes during his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme, concerns related to students’ futures remained unaddressed.
Rahul Gandhi further alleged that changes made to CBSE tender norms led to flaws in the answer-sheet scanning process. According to his claims, the prescribed high-resolution scanning standards were reportedly altered, resulting in errors during digitization and evaluation. He also criticized Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for not responding adequately to the concerns raised by students. The remarks have intensified the ongoing political debate surrounding the CBSE evaluation system, while authorities continue to examine concerns related to the OnMark portal and assessment procedures.
