Attacks on BJP Offices, Leaders’ Residences Are Cowardly Acts: N. Ramchander Rao

BJP Telangana president N. Ramchander Rao has strongly condemned the alleged attempts by Congress workers to target BJP offices and the residences of party leaders, describing them as cowardly acts. He said the recent BJP agitation over pending fee reimbursement dues and student issues had received strong support from thousands of students and youngsters, sending a clear message that the youth were increasingly backing the BJP. According to Rao, Congress was resorting to what he termed divisive and provocative politics to divert public attention from these issues. He also criticised alleged attempts to deface the BJP state office, surround leaders’ residences and target RSS offices, attributing them to Congress-affiliated NSUI and Youth Congress workers.

Rao said political parties had every right to protest against government policies through democratic means, but attacking rival party offices or leaders’ homes was unacceptable. He warned that the BJP was maintaining restraint and that continued attempts to target its offices, leaders or workers could have serious consequences. He also announced a month-long ‘Seva Sankalpa Abhiyan’ from September 17 to October 17 to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s completion of 25 years in constitutional public service as an elected Chief Minister and Prime Minister. The campaign will include tree plantation drives, essay competitions for students, cleanliness programmes and blood donation camps across Telangana. Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satyakumar Yadav will participate as the chief guest and provide guidance for the programme, Rao said.
