Munugode Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy has made a series of critical remarks during a Twitter Space organised by the YSRCP NRI team, triggering speculation about his political course. He said he was taking steps towards change and had been questioning and opposing various issues over the past few months. Rajagopal Reddy said he would follow the political path of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy. He also alleged that the government was facing difficulties in clearing pending fee reimbursement dues and criticised certain decisions that, according to him, were causing hardship to people.
Rajagopal Reddy further called for stronger measures to curb corruption, claiming that the problem had reached even rural areas. He questioned the political motives of those who entered politics for financial gains and said such people could not remain in politics permanently. Referring to welfare schemes and the functioning of belt shops, he alleged that money was being collected from people through such channels. He said he would chart out his own political course and bring change in Telangana, adding that he was prepared to take a sensational decision. His comments have led to renewed discussion about his political future, though he has not officially announced any change in party affiliation.
