

Former BRS MLA Balk Suman has been remanded to 14 days of judicial custody by a Nampally court in connection with a case registered based on a complaint from Singareni officials. Following the court order, police shifted him to Chanchalguda Jail.
The case was filed after allegations that Balk Suman made controversial remarks calling for attacks on Singareni Company properties and offices. A junior inspector, Anand, submitted a complaint along with video evidence, which police have included as key material in the case. Officials also claimed that Suman’s statements posed a threat to the safety of Singareni employees.
Police have registered the case under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the PDPP Act, including 326(g), 351(3), and 353(1)(b) read with 55 and 61(2)(a). He was produced before a judge at his residence in Himayatnagar before being sent to judicial custody. Police also noted that the accused had previous cases registered against him.
