Reliance Jio has strengthened its leadership in the Andhra Pradesh Telecom Circle—which includes both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh—by recording the highest number of new wireline and wireless connections in September 2025. The company’s growth has been driven by the rising demand for broadband and mobile services, especially from Tier-II and Tier-III towns. According to official data, Jio added 40,641 new wireline subscribers in September, increasing its total from 17.87 lakh in August to 18.28 lakh—maintaining the top position among all telecom operators. The surge was attributed to the growing popularity of JioFiber broadband and enterprise connectivity solutions. In comparison, Airtel added 12,043 subscribers, BSNL’s growth remained minimal, while Vodafone Idea lost 1,310 customers in the same period.
In the wireless segment, Jio added 1.17 lakh new mobile users, taking its total subscriber base in the AP-Telangana circle to 3.18 crore. This reinforces Jio’s position as the leading telecom player in the region. Airtel followed with a modest addition of 39,248 users, maintaining a stable base of 3.43 crore. Interestingly, BSNL witnessed a positive trend by adding 80,840 new users, mainly due to strong rural reach and affordable tariffs. Vodafone Idea, however, continued to lose ground, reporting a decline of nearly 70,000 users. With consistent growth in both broadband and mobile services, Jio continues to expand its footprint and strengthen its dominance across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
