Masala chai tops the global tea rankings

Indian teas have achieved remarkable recognition in a global ranking of beverages, with Masala Chai securing the top position as the world’s number one tea. The international list highlights the growing popularity and cultural significance of Indian tea varieties across the globe.

Along with Masala Chai, several regional Indian teas also earned places in the rankings. Darjeeling Tea secured 6th place, Assam Tea ranked 13th, Karnataka’s Sulemani Tea stood at 39th position, Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra Tea at 41st, and Jammu & Kashmir’s traditional Noon Chai was placed at 43rd position, showcasing India’s diverse tea heritage.
