YSR Congress Party leader Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy visited the Juvvaladinne Fishing Harbor in Nellore district and held a direct interaction with local fishermen. During the visit, he listened to their problems and assured them of support. He said the situation at the harbor reflects the injustice happening in the state and stressed that fishing harbors are essential for improving the lives of fishermen.
Jagan highlighted that during his tenure, steps were taken to develop ports and fishing harbors across the state. He mentioned that Ramayapatnam Port is almost complete, while work at Mulapeta Port in Srikakulam and Machilipatnam Port is progressing well. He also accused the current government of neglecting fishermen and questioned the handling of seized boats, alleging that no proper action was taken.
He further claimed that there are attempts to displace fishermen from Juvvaladinne for private projects. Assuring strong support, Jagan said that once his party returns to power, all fishing harbors will be dedicated to fishermen and steps will be taken to improve their livelihoods.
