Officials from the Income Tax Department conducted raids on several restaurants across Andhra Pradesh. The searches took place in restaurants located in Rajahmundry, Nellore, and Visakhapatnam. Authorities suspect that some establishments have been evading taxes by not issuing proper bills to customers.
During the inspections, IT officials examined computer records and financial documents related to the restaurants’ operations. They are also reviewing online payment transactions and digital data to identify possible tax irregularities. The raids are part of an ongoing effort to ensure tax compliance among business establishments in the state.
