Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy emphasized the state government’s strong focus on women’s empowerment and safety during the “Stand With Her” program. He stated that the government places complete trust in women and recognizes their contributions by providing leadership positions within the Congress party. Highlighting the government’s commitment to women’s protection, he mentioned that several laws are being introduced to ensure their safety. He also pointed out the rising harassment of women on social media and explained that the “Mahila Shakti” scheme was launched to economically empower women.
The Chief Minister stressed that women’s safety remains a top priority for his administration and that Telangana is progressing rapidly in development. Under his leadership, free travel facilities have been provided for women on RTC buses. He noted that the government is implementing schemes specifically in the name of women and emphasized that simply enacting laws is not enough proactive measures are required to enforce them.
Through women’s organizations, the government is currently operating 1,000 RTC buses dedicated to women passengers. Revanth Reddy affirmed that the state is being shaped to ensure complete safety for women, while also providing them opportunities to excel across all sectors. The administration aims to create an environment where women can thrive, lead and achieve their full potential.
