MP and actor Kamal Haasan has appealed to the people of Tamil Nadu to support the DMK in the upcoming elections. He clarified that he is speaking as a citizen of Tamil Nadu and not as an actor or political party leader. He urged everyone to use their right to vote on April 23 and said that this election will decide the future of the state.
He stated that this election is important for Tamil Nadu’s progress and even represents a competition between South India and North India in terms of development. He asked voters to think carefully whether the state should move forward with development or fall behind, and whether decisions should be made from Chennai or Delhi. He highlighted that Tamil Nadu has performed well in many sectors in the last five years.
Kamal Haasan said that it is necessary for Chief Minister Stalin to continue in power and that DMK should be voted again to continue ongoing welfare schemes. He also referred to the Dravidian leaders Periyar, Anna, and Karunanidhi, saying they brought development to the state. He appealed to voters not to waste their vote and said voting is a powerful right that cannot be replaced. He urged people to vote for the “rising sun” symbol on April 23 and make a thoughtful decision.
