The Hyderabad City Police have seized a huge quantity of banned Chinese Manja and arrested several individuals involved in its illegal sale and distribution as part of a special enforcement drive conducted across the city. The raids were carried out under the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate limits at identified locations, leading to the recovery of large stocks of the prohibited material. Police officials stated that the operation was aimed at dismantling the supply chain of Chinese Manja, which is known for causing serious accidents, injuries, and fatalities.
Addressing the press, CP Sajjanar shared details regarding the seizures and arrests made during the operation and confirmed that strict legal action has been initiated against the accused. He issued a strong warning to traders and the general public against the manufacture, storage, transport, and use of Chinese Manja, which is strictly banned due to its razor-sharp nature and the threat it poses to human life, birds, and animals. The Hyderabad City Police also appealed to citizens to cooperate with enforcement agencies and report any illegal sale or use of banned Manja, reiterating that stringent action will continue in the interest of public safety.
