

Extensive preparations are underway in Rajamahendravaram for the upcoming Godavari Pushkaralu scheduled from June 26 to July 7, 2027. Authorities have initiated multiple development projects aimed at enhancing pilgrim facilities and preserving spiritual heritage. Foundation stones have been laid for six temple complexes with an investment of ₹9.55 crore, along with plans to construct 18 cottages worth ₹23.65 crore to improve accommodation. Additionally, ₹23 crore has been allocated for 18 developmental works across the Godavari river basin areas. Further infrastructure developments include the foundation for the ₹12 crore “Srinivasa Nilayam” building at Vadapalli and the construction of satras, annadanam halls, and other pilgrim amenities at Kotilingala Peta.
During a tour of Ambedkar Konaseema district, special prayers were offered at Vadapalli and Mandapalli temples, where new facilities like annadanam halls and Tailabhishekam mandapams are being developed. The government is also providing ₹10,000 per month to 202 temples under the “Dhoopa Deepa Naivedyam” scheme, reaffirming its commitment to reviving ancient temples and strengthening spiritual infrastructure. The program was attended by prominent leaders, including Daggubati Purandeswari and Adireddy Srinivas, among others.
