

The 150th anniversary celebrations of Vande Mataram were held in a grand manner on Saturday at Adikavi Nannaya University in Rajamahendravaram. Tourism Minister Durgesh attended the event as the chief guest and addressed the gathering.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister emphasized that Vande Mataram symbolizes patriotism and national unity. He said it is the collective responsibility of citizens to preserve and pass on its spirit to future generations, adding that such events inspire youth with a sense of national pride.
As part of the celebrations, a massive tricolour flag spanning 25,000 square feet was displayed on the university campus. The flag was conceptualized under the leadership of Basava Krishnamurthy, president of the Student United Network. The tricolour rally emerged as a major highlight of the event and drew widespread appreciation.
