

Telangana Governor Sri Jishnu Dev Varma extended warm greetings to the people of the state and the nation on the occasion of the 76th Republic Day. Recalling the immense sacrifices made by freedom fighters, the Governor reaffirmed India’s unwavering commitment to the constitutional values of justice, liberty, equality, fraternity, and secularism. He underlined the historic importance of January 26, marking the adoption of the Constitution and India’s emergence as a sovereign democratic republic.
Reflecting on Telangana’s history, the Governor remembered the people’s struggle against Nizam rule and the integration of Hyderabad State into the Indian Union on September 17, 1948, now officially commemorated. He appreciated the people-centric governance of the Telangana government under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and lauded the Telangana Rising–2047 Vision Policy, aligned with the Prime Minister’s Viksit Bharat 2047 mission. The Governor noted that the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 secured investment commitments exceeding ₹5 lakh crore, expected to generate large-scale employment. He also highlighted key social empowerment initiatives, including SC sub-categorisation and comprehensive socio-economic surveys, and wished peace, prosperity, and progress for Telangana and the nation.
