Nagi Reddy, Managing Director of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation, stated that the government is responding positively to the concerns of RTC employees. He said a special committee of senior officials has already been formed to examine the workers’ demands in detail. The committee has also held discussions with union representatives, and since some demands involve financial and complex matters, the government has sought about four weeks to study and resolve them.
He assured that the government is committed to addressing the issues in a phased manner. However, he alleged that certain unions are misleading workers by calling for a strike without considering the facts. He urged employees not to be influenced and to return to duties, keeping the organization’s interests in mind. He also emphasized that RTC services are crucial for daily wage earners and common people, and appealed to all staff to act responsibly and ensure uninterrupted public transport services.
