Ponnam Prabhakar has appealed to RTC workers to withdraw their ongoing strike in the interest of public welfare and the protection of the transport system. He emphasized that a strike is not the solution to the issues faced by employees and urged them to cooperate with the government to ensure uninterrupted services for the public.
The minister stated that a committee has been constituted to address the concerns of RTC employees and has been directed to submit its report within four weeks. Out of 32 demands, 29 can be resolved immediately, while key issues such as RTC merger and union elections remain pending. He assured that these matters will be discussed with the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister to find a comprehensive solution.
