The Central Soil and Materials Research Station (CSMRS) team carried out inspections for the second consecutive day at the Polavaram Project. Team members Lalit Kumar Solanki and Hanuman Prasad Meena examined the rock structures and the concrete being used in the construction. They also inspected the grouting work at G Hill and expressed satisfaction with the quality of concrete being utilized in the project.
The team further assessed the concrete used in the diaphragm wall construction. Samples preserved in block form were tested under high water pressure to measure absorption levels. These tests were conducted using protective plastic coverings and sheets on both sides of the structure. The results confirmed that the concrete met quality standards. Additional tests were also carried out at the Adco laboratory, established by the Water Resources Department for quality checks, where officials provided detailed information to the scientists.
