Punjab Kings continued their dominant run in the season with a convincing 7-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium. Chasing a target of 196, Punjab rode on Magnificent half centuries from Prabhsimran Singh (80*) and Shreyas Iyer (66), reaching 198/3 in just 16.3 overs. The duo dominated the Mumbai bowlers with aggressive stroke play and ensured there was no pressure despite early wickets.
Earlier, Mumbai posted 195/6, powered by a brilliant unbeaten 112 from Quinton de Kock. He stitched a crucial partnership with Naman Dhir (50) after early setbacks caused by Arshdeep Singh. However, Punjab bowlers restricted Mumbai from crossing the 200-run mark. In the chase, even after Iyer’s dismissal near the end, Prabhsimran calmly finished the match, sealing a comprehensive win for Punjab.
