

As a prelude to Christmas celebrations, special prayers were held in churches across the Telugu states, accompanied by grand cross processions. Devotees participated by singing hymns and offering prayers, carrying the cross around church premises. The atmosphere resonated with spiritual messages, spreading the values of peace, love, and brotherhood among the people.
Large numbers of Christians thronged churches to attend the first worship service held on Thursday morning. With church premises packed to capacity, many devotees also joined prayers from outside areas. Church authorities made elaborate arrangements to accommodate the crowd, while the premises were beautifully decorated with colourful electric lights. Illuminated main entrances and glowing church yards added to the festive charm.
In Medak, Christmas celebrations commenced at the famous CSI Church with special prayers and a cross procession. The first worship service witnessed a massive turnout. In-charge Bishop Reverend Rubin Mark delivered the Christmas message, highlighting the true essence of Jesus Christ’s birth. He spoke about the importance of love, forgiveness, sacrifice, and humanity, stating that Christmas offers a path of peace in a world increasingly affected by hatred and intolerance.
