

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy held a review meeting on the Sports Department and discussed plans to improve sports facilities in the state. Ministers Vakiti Srihari and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, along with advisor Vem Narender Reddy, SAT Chairman Shivasena Reddy, Chief Secretary Ramkrishna Rao and other senior officials attended the meeting. The discussion mainly focused on developing world-class sports infrastructure, especially at the Young India Sports University.
The Chief Minister said that proper training facilities are needed for athletes who aim to compete in global events like the Olympics. He suggested developing modern infrastructure at the Gachibowli Outdoor Stadium, including an indoor stadium, university complex, hostels and grounds for different sports. He also reviewed several construction designs and gave suggestions to the officials.
The government is planning to prepare athletes for international competitions and also aims to host major events like the Olympics and Commonwealth Games in the future. The Chief Minister directed officials to modernize the Kotla Vijayabhaskara Reddy Stadium, Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium and Saroornagar Indoor Stadium to support training and competitions.
