Former Chief Election Commissioner S. Y. Quraishi has raised concerns over the implementation of the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in West Bengal. Speaking in an interview with ABP News, he questioned why what he termed a “logical discrepancy” was being highlighted only in West Bengal and not in other states.
Quraishi referred to earlier reports of allegedly illegal voters in Assam and sought clarity on whether similar verification drives had been conducted in other regions, including Bihar. His remarks come amid an ongoing political debate over voter roll revisions and electoral integrity ahead of crucial elections.
